He then picks up a young hitchhiker who is on his way to kill a man who murdered his father 10 years ago. Although they part ways later, the coincidence of these two incidents haunts Jinpa as he tries desperately to track down the hitchhiker and stop the murder.

Presented by Singapore Film Society & Filmgarde Cineplex, Jinpa will be the fourth feature film to be showcased in The Contemporary Asian Cinema (CAC) Series celebrating critically acclaimed Asian auteurs and their work.

REVIEWS

"With the cinematography also contrasting the cold and harsh exteriors with the glowing and warm interiors, Jinpa benefits from modest but extremely precise and effective production values."
- Boyd van Hoeij, The Hollywood Reporter

"Tibetan road movie Jinpa is a playful, gently perplexing and distinctly stylish fifth feature from director Pema Tseden, whose films include The Silent Holy Stones (2006) and Tharlo, a 2015 entry in Venice’s Orizzonti section."
- Jonathan Romney, Screen Daily

“JINPA” is a great movie that manages to combine a number of elements into a very entertaining and thought provoking package that will satisfy audiences of almost every kind."
- Panos Kotzathanasis, Asian Movie Pulse
